Finally......... we all going to graduate already..... the ceremony will be held at UTM, Skudai Johor Bahru from 15-19 / August / 2009. Normally for diploma student, will attend at 18 & 19th..... So nice...... 4 years........ past ady....... now already have new batch trainee qs joining us. Which means we already upgrade to SENIOR TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR... haha...... what a funny title. Indirectly will be Assistant QS in future after get the official offer letter from gamuda.

Long time didn't update here, became dead city already, haha... but now growth up again.......haha .

Many reason to not update here as no have much time, no have internet access in office and so on.

This semester going to finish ady, left 4 classes which are Construction Mathematic(2), Legal Studies (1) & Professional Practice (1).

At the early morning, wake up by CY around 6.37am. Promised Nurul to start moving at 6.45am. End up, she also came fetch us at 7.05am. 7.10am, went to her house to take her form as she forgot already. So, after that go to petrol station to fill oil. Around 7.20am start our journey to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, KL. She drive very fast, used around 10 minutes to arrived there as according to the form, the walk will start on 7.30am.

Arrived there around 7.30am. So, we rush to gather point which about 500-1000m from our parking place. Sigh...... Walk fast , run.... all also got.... Mana tau arrived there, still not yet start and what they doing? Registering.... They used to call name for those who already paid to give the bib number. End up, get scolded by public... haha.... So, they open to 3 counter and using giving bib number method to give us. Finally we successful to get our number at 8am.

Around 8.10am, the walk just start.... What can i say is terrible. Those who stand in front, they using running method. Hello ladies n gentleman , this is charity WALK, not charity RUN. please la... RUN & WALK also don't know what meaning meh? Need i teach u all ah?

Never think that, this walk still have water station which provide green tea for us when arrived half way. I didn't drink it until i finished the walk just drink for it. Around 8.24am, i arrived the finishing point and get the goodies bag cum with EYE ON MALAYSIA's ticket to ride.

Conclusion is, is not a good management for this run. No have any proper planning and the signboard no clear enough. Sigh..... disappointed.

Dinner for SMART's Trainees

That’s amazing and happy time for SMART trainees to have a dinner last night at Kelana Seafood Centre, Cheras Branch. Everybody knows that SMART Project already finish and our as SMART trainees will be transfer to HQ as well as to explore new project anew. So, for now as we know our friend Keng Meng will be transfer early than others which August, 1 2007 is the date…. So sad, so sorrowful… Last night is the end for us to get together as SMART trainees for this long as over 2 and a half years in sweet memories and difficult situation…

Okay, come to our report….

We meet at the restaurants at 8.45 as Nurul, Hakim, and Siti was late as their house far from Cheras. Chinese friends already wait until so hungry and made a decision to get the food first on the table…. Ha ha….

We’d choose steamboat as our meal for the dinner. That’s very enjoy because got a lots of seafood like a big prawn, crab, cuttlefish, squid, and all kinds of marine mollusk… We also have many choices of vegetables such like Kang kong especially, Sawi and many more but what we found that SMART Trainees like to eat Kang kong… There also have many kinds of fishball with lots of appearance and shape… got round, triangle and numerous tastes…

We’d taken almost 2 hours to stay at or table to finish all the food as we was started our dinner on 8.45 pm and we was finished it on 10.30pm. Whoaa…. Really satisfied and felt really jovial on that night.

Have some photos that sharing to all as to keep as a recollection for all SMART trainees forever in mind…

Even that was a last time and last night for us, we hope we still each other and keep in touch forever in life…. Don’t miss even 1 time, 1 second, and 1 minute that ever together for a long this time…

Minutes of TQS Meeting

Objectives
1) Get to know all the trainee QS better.
2) To acknowledge the high achievers in studies by presenting gift as a reward.
3) Highlight to trainees the new grading system of UTM.
4) To brief trainees on the Behavioral Report by UTM.

General Findings
1) Majority of the trainees are doing well in their studies and have study groups occasionally. However, majority of them prefer to study alone.

2) Trainees from SMART seem to have better relationship among themselves. They were more talkative and willing to open up. Nurul Maya said they love each other and they are like a family.

3) Nurul Hakim said he is proud to work with Gamuda and grateful to be able to join this TQS programme. He said that he enjoys working in SMART and colleagues are very helpful and friendly.

4) Valerie took the opportunity to express herself that she didn’t mean to offend anybody when she was making jokes. She is just being straightforward and apologize to those who were offended.

5) All of them reported doing fine at work but some said the work they are doing are not related to their studies. Relationship with their current superior is good.

6) There are no issues regarding lecturers and studies. They are satisfied with the lecturers so far. Most of the subjects were interesting but not for TITAS and Perkembangan Kendiri.

7) Trainees from HQ claimed that it’s still too tiring for them to work on Saturdays when they have classes. Nadzri would see if he could speak with the superiors to request the trainees at HQ to return to work only if absolutely necessary so that they need not rush for classes and therefore feel tired. Saturday is an off day (unofficially) for trainees at SMART, so they have no problems of getting exhausted.

8) New monitors will be nominated for the next semester, names of the monitors are to be submitted to Monica.

9) Nadzri, one of the trainees from the pioneer batch will be their new “big brother”, overseeing trainee QS matters in general. He understands the difficulties of working and pursuing studies at the same time. He shared his experience with all the trainee QS about the importance of balancing work and study.

10) The trainees are aware of the new grading system where it is easier to score A but harder to pass. They were reminded to be more serious in their studies.

11) Nurul shared her learning methods, which includes paying attention in class, doing well in all assignments to score high marks and doing revisions before final examinations.

12) The Behavioral Report by UTM showed positive feedback. Puan Zubaidah highlighted a few trainees for their excellent performance. Most of the trainees had maintained their performance and showed enthusiasm and initiative in their studies.

13) Rewards were given to Chuah Sang Cheng, Ong Kok Keong, Nurul Maya and Lee Tiong Hoo who were the top achievers in Semester 2 2006/2007; Nurul Maya, Valerie Chin Suk Yee and Neoh Heng Keat were in the list for overall most improved from the beginning to the current semester.

14) Monica reminded them to pay attention in the class and don’t play with their hand phones.

Finally, all have done. For almost 3 months study, test, presentation & also final exam, all have been passed.... Should be happy and temporary enjoy you short holiday - duration 1 week.... haha. Please take care of yourself especially health problem and also the haze occur again for now. So, take care about it.

Drink more water and do more exercise.

Finish the 1st subject exam that is our English subject. This is the happy thing that can consider as. In the exam time, we have 1 friend din't join us because she meet an accident at Jalan Tun Razak. Her car get bang by WAJA and another WAJA get bang by another 4 wheel. Sounds like a necklace that big fish eating small fish. haha.... This is the unhappy thing that consider as. After the exam, we go HUKM to visit Nurul. So, shes nothing. Just the hand pain and cant hold any object. So pity her. Anyway..... we wish her have a nice day and recover as soon as possible. Nurul, azaza figthing... u will recover very soon......

For Hakim & Siti, wish both of you Good Luck in your TITAS 2 exam.

Distance : 3.65km / lap

After finish all the test for this semester, we have a fun training of marathon in Taman Metropolitan, Kepong during last Sunday (17/6/2007). Purpose for this time training is for those who going to join PBIM (Penang Bridge International Marathon), KOTR (Adiddas- King of The Road) and other running events. Is fun for that. Hope next time training will get more ppls involved. More people, more fun mah...

Fun Trip at Genting

Dear all,

Getting suggestion from others trainees, so maybe will have a short distance trip, that is one day Genting Trip. The planning is like that :-

8am - Start from KL Sentral
9am - Arrive Skyway
10am - Get ready to go have fun inside the Theme Park
5pm - Get Ready to Going Back
6pm - Take Skyway
7pm - Going back to KL

Normally will have this trip after the short sem's final exam, around end of June or early of July.

Malacca Trip by SMART's Trainees

On the early morning of 29/4/2007, almost all of the trainees for SMART gather in front of SMART’s Office….. What they doing at there? Oh ya…. They go for Malacca Trip… yes….

730 am, all of us gather together and waiting our Ms Nurul, Ms Siti & also Ms Farana...because they are late…. -_-”…around 745am, we start our journey…as our planning, we stop at NILAI R&R to have our breakfast… the breakfast not so expensive…still in our budget… haha…

Around 930am, we have arrived our destination… that is D-Paradise or Dusun Paradise. After “check in”, we rent a buggy and 4 bikes to use inside the dusun because have to walk 9km if didn’t have this kind of little transport…haha…. Weather at there…quite hot la…but we all enjoy enough inside this dusun.

Around 12pm, we start our journey to have our lunch and also go for A’Famosa. Around 2pm, we success check in to our VILLA – Lot 1221… what a nice villa… behind still have own swimming pool… wah lau eh… so syioknya….after rest for a while, all of us start moving o A’Famosa Animal World Safari. Because the time already 3.30pm, then the show inside just left 2 only, they are Bird Show and also Elephant Show. For comparison, the Elephant Show more attractive.

6pm…. We go Tampin to settle our dinner, what to eat leh? KFC lo, fast and suitable for all ppls. For sure after have our dinner, we stop at 7-11 to buy some supper and mineral water due to the mineral water selling inside was very expensive. Then… is our rest time…..ZZZzzzzzZZZzzz

8pm something, we go visit at A’Famosa Cow Boy Town. Entrance Fee quite expensive, RM30 per entry not include ride inside the park. We went for there to enjoy our Carnival Show & Red Indian Show…. That was great…. Especially the fire works… very beautiful. We enjoy our self inside the park until 11pm something. Afterward, for sure go back for sleep. Haha… The night was still young… we having supper with eating Maggie Hot Cup. Good Night every one….

30/4/2007…Today is last day for us in Malacca. We drive from Alor Gajah to Ayer Keroh… The weather is very hot compare with KL or Alor Gajah. The 1^st place we visit is “Red House” or STADTHYUS. After visit, is our lunch time. This time we separate to having our lunch. For Chinese, sure goes for Chicken Ball Rice and for Malay, they go for BABA & NYONYA’s food.

Because of the weather too hot, we roughly visit to others interest place plus buying some souvenirs for our family/senior or our friends. Around 4pm, we visit to THE ROYAL LONDON CIRCUS. We get the discount price compare with the normal price. RM21 per person. After finish, we think of visit Jonker Street but we failed because Jonker Street just open for Friday to Sunday only. Afterwards, we start our journey back to KL. …

Conclusion… this is a great trip even every one so tired and some sad thing have happened. Thanks again to all to make this trip so funny especially Siti and Farana to carry good of my camera. Thanks alots.
